Dr. Mutchnik is an original member of Uropartners. Born in Minot, North Dakota, he was raised in Northbrook, IL. Dr. Mutchnik graduated from Amherst College summa cum laude in mathematics in 1988. He attended medical school at The University of Chicago, where he graduated with highest honors. He completed his residency training at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, where he performed complex surgeries with internationally recognized urology experts. Dr. Mutchnik then stayed at Baylor for a fellowship in Neurology, Urodynamics, and Female Urology. He earned the highest score in the nation on the written exam for the American Board of Urology.

Since 1999, he has practiced urology in the North Shore area of Chicago. He has performed thousands of procedures, ranging from office-based diagnostic procedures to vasectomy to the most complicated prostate, bladder, kidney, and testicular cancer resections. He has special expertise in the treatment of kidney stones, urinary incontinence, prostate cancer, and infertility. Dr. Mutchnik is often asked to mentor other urologists as they learn advanced, minimally-invasive surgical techniques in these areas. As a result of his exemplary patient care, Dr. Mutchnik has built one of the busiest practices in the region. Local physicians, nurses, and their families consistently see him for their own urologic care.

Dr. Mutchnik lives in the North Shore area with his wife and three sons.
